María Melcón was awarded a Juan de la Cierva fellowship in 2024, joining the University of Cádiz as a postdoctoral researcher. During her doctoral studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), she specialized in the analysis of electromagnetic signals, focusing on visuospatial attention and perception in healthy populations. Following her Ph.D., she was recruited by the University of Glasgow as a postdoctoral researcher to lead an innovative project combining transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electroencephalography (EEG).
